Youth saw friends arguing with Merryweather before fight broke out at service station.(News)

TWO witnesses have given differing accounts of an attack on a restaurant manager for which seven youths are being tried on a charge of attempted murder.

One witness did not see blood on Andrew Merryweather, who was left partially paralysed by the attack at Vineyard Motors in Claremont's Main Road in the early hours of September 9 last year, while another did.

The seven, Samuel Davidson, Michael Enslin, Dane Killian, Justin Maxwell, Joel Thackwray, Liam Hechter and Oliver Scholtz, were pupils at Reddam House College and Wynberg Boys' High School at the time.
