Aug. 1--Continuing the belief there is no "down time" anymore in college football recruiting, Georgia has picked up the 11th commitment for its 2007 class.
Neland Ball, a 6-foot-5, 218-pound defensive end from Jackson, Ga., committed to the Bulldogs over Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech and South Carolina. Ball is Georgia's sixth commitment since mid-June and was the fourth in July.
"It came down to Georgia and Auburn, and I felt more comfortable at Georgia," Ball said. "Auburn was the first school to recruit me, so it was tough turning them down."
